Harley Pasternak was originally supposed to be a trainer on the show but once he began negotiating for a better deal he was replaced by Bob Harper.
Although Bob Harper had come out privately previously, his first time publicly acknowledging his homosexuality occurred on the show while helping mentor a contestant who was struggling with his own sexuality.
