This feature film is included in the 2-disc Limited Edition DVD set and the 2-disc Blu-ray Best Buy Exclusive Edition of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), released on December 28, 2004 and August 31, 2010, respectively.
A lot of the scenes (more specifically the beginning sequence) was shown as an early preview for the actual movie, "The Legend of Ron Burgundy", but when it was released that scene was missing, and fans wondered what happened to those scenes, they were informed that it was cut and there was so much material they could have made entire movie out of it; by demand from the fans, they released this version of the movie straight to DVD.
