Director Uwe Boll did not return to the sequel due to his commitment to BloodRayne (2005). When asked about the "Dead" sequel during its production, Boll himself wished the crew "good luck."
Ellie cornell is the only actress from the first movie that appears in this sequel. She is in a wheelchair after her legs were eaten by zombies in the previous film.
While the soldiers are at the firing range they have taped zombie faces on the targets. One of the heads is just Paris Hilton.
