Anil Kapoor revealed on Koffee with Karan that he showed this film to Oliver Stone trying to impress him as it was a remake of the director's own film U Turn but the director got impressed by Sanjay Dutt.
The film brought Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Panscholi back together on screen after a hiatus, there earlier starred in Sahebzaade, Aatish, Jung, Baaghi.
Sunil Shetty was signed for Aditya Pancholi's role but opted out. He stated he was uncomfortable with the film's bold and sexual content.
