Torrente 3: El protector (2005)

Trivia

Torrente 3: El protector

Edit
Santiago Segura thought of Eduardo García for the role of the young Torrente after working with García on the pilot of Aquí no hay quien viva (2003), when he noticed not only that the kid could physically pass for a younger version of him but also that he made a solid impression of the character.
The role of Giannina was first offered to Monica Bellucci.
This is the third Tony Leblanc plays a family relative of Torrente, this time in drag as Torrente's grandmother.
(at around 20 secs) At the very beginning of the movie, the motto of the fictitious Spanish Intelligence agency can be read on the doors: "Laborantes in Illo Sumus", which means "We're Working on It" in Latin. That phrase ("Estamos trabajando en ello") became famous in Spain when former Prime Minister José María Aznar said it in a press conference, next to George W. Bush, during a visit to the United States. He pronounced it with a marked Spanish-Texan accent that most Spaniards found amusing, generating a lot of jokes.
The first and only live appearance of El Fary in a Torrente film. Torrente is a die-hard fan of El Fary.
