Manisha had just signed Biwi No 1 with Govinda in 1997 and could be heard indirectly promoting the film during a scene in Loha. They were later replaced by Salman and Karishma.
When chased across the streets by Dharmendra after being dismissed from the Police Force, Ishrat Ali's pleas for help are rebuffed by the public with one civilian reminding him that he had declined to register a complaint of harassment faced by his sister with the quote "Chhatri hoti hai kholne ke liye, chadar hoti hai odhne ke liye aur chhokri hoti hai chhedne ke liye". Ishrat Ali re-uttered these lines in Kanti Shah's subsequent movie GUNDA(1998) referencing LOHA.
The film was previously titled Jung Ka Elaan.
Govinda is promoted as the third leading hero of the film alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Dharmendra on DVD covers, despite only having a special appearance in the film. He has no scenes with Dharmendra or Mithun.
Dharmendra's second film in same name earlier he did Loha 1987.
