Riisuttu mies (2006)

Trivia

Riisuttu mies

Edit
Screenwriter Veli-Pekka Hänninen made a complaint against the studio behind the film. He claimed that the studio had changed the script (despite a written contract which forbids to alter the script without the consent of the screenwriter) so much that it was no longer the film that he had written. In spring 2006 the district court ruled in favour of the defendant as it considered it premature to make ruling based on unfinished film. In late January 2007 Helsinki Court of Appeal decided the case and overturned the previous verdict, thus further distribution of this film will be halted and Lasihelmifilmi has to pay Hänninen EUR 10 000 + interest as copyright compensation. Also the company is obliged to pay over EUR 22 000 of legal and other fees.
Actors Samuli Edelmann and Mikko Kouki did the stunt jump off the bridge of Turku themselves.
In March 2007, the copyright/distribution dispute was partially solved: Veli-Pekka Hänninen and co-producing distributors FS Film and MTV3 made an agreement, which allows that the film can be released on DVD and shown in TV, but not shown on cinemas.
The interiors of the main location of the film are partly shot in Estonia because the cathedral of Turku denied permission to shoot there after the shooting had already begun.
