The music artiste M.I.A. sampled the song "Sufani" from the film. The song was originally by musician/Composer Gaudi, sung by Bibi Swaran Nooran,Master Dilbahaar and Sohan Lal. M.I.A. remade the song as" Come Around " collaborating with Timbaland. The Sufi song originally came from the band " Shamur" based in Italy. Shamur made the Sufi mix song "Let The Music Play". Years later Quasamodo made the song "Bollywood Man" feat Mc Coppa sampled the song " Let The Music Play" (another version of the Sufi song in this film). The song was once again used in the movie "Roohi" as "Nadiyon Paar"(Let The Music Play).
Shamur song "Baby Boy" sampled the song "Sufani " by Gaudi.
This movie is remake of Hollywood movie Laura (1944) directed by Otto Preminger.
Ayush Raina who directed a music video for Rog was to direct the film. He backed out at the last hour.
Pooja Bhatt had offered Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram to play the role of Irfan Khan.
