French distribution and worldwide sales company, DC Medias, is currently producing a French horror movie called Dead Shadows, a new french horror film produced and directed by David Cholewa. Cholewa just passed us the first poster for the film and I'm digging The Mist vibe what with the tentacled creates.

Cholewa says he .wants to redefine the creature feature horror genre with lots of action. By taking what the French are well-known for in the horror genre and going back to the old 80.s vibes and elevating it to the next level, we want to create a film that is fun, suspenseful, full of action and very scary..

2006's Deaden (review here) was a bloody, nasty throwback to the 70s and 80s vigilante flicks, and those of us that dug it can look forward to an expansion of the story ... in printed form.

According to Deaden author Stefan Hutchinson, "It's based on the film that [John] Fallon wrote and starred in but ignores the budget limitations that they had with that. It also deviates and goes into more surreal territory with much, much more violence."
