Edit
Kyle Schewfelt is a Canadian Olympic Champion: he won Gold on Floor Exercise at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. He is also a three time Bronze medalist at World Championships (Floor and Vault in 2003, Floor in 2006). His Gold medal in Athens was the first-ever medal for a Canadian in an artistic gymnastics event and was the first Canadian gold of the 2004 Olympics. He also has a vault named after him (2½-Twisting Yurchenko).
The film includes real life gymnasts like Kyle Schewfelt in one of the main roles but also Romanian gymnast Marian Dragulescu in a supporting part, playing his own character. He is an 8 time World Champion and Silver Medalist on Floor Exercise in Athens. The Gold Medal was won by Kyle Schewfelt. It also includes David Vecsernyes of Hungary, who won 2 Bronze Medals at European Championships in 2018 and 2020, 12 and 14 years after the film was released.
