Ao Zora No Yukue~Way Of Blue Sky

It is the last year of junior high and Masaki (Nakayama Takuya), one of the most popular boys in school makes a shocking announcement. He will be emigrating to the U.S. at the end of the summer. He also states that he has fallen in love with someone in his class and wants to make his last wish come true before he leaves. This throws the class into turmoil and it transpires that five different girls all have strong feelings for him and see this as their one chance to express their love. Way Of Blue Sky is a touching, heartfelt story about young love and growing up, from Nagasawa Masahiko, the producer of Love Letter. Also starring Morita Ayaka, Yuki Saya, Kurokawa Mei, Tabe Mikako and Nishihara Aki. I love this movie,a simple love story (^^,)v

it was actually good!

this isn't really my type of movie but, i still really enjoyed it. it's about how 5 different girls relationships change and intertwine with each other when a guy that they are all close to announces that he's moving to the u.s. and also lets it slip that he likes someone.

while i personally don't typically care for the "haretworming" type of films, i really did like this one. the acting was very well done, and the story was strong enough to keep me interested up until the very end.

luckily for me, i started watching this movie without read the plot line... if i had read it i probably would have written this one off as a sappy chick-flick and moved on. So, you really shouldn't let the plot line, which seems so painfully simple, fool you. there were actually a few plot twist that i definitely didn't see come... all and all, i'd definitely say its worth seeing

Way of Blue Sky

The plot is already there in the summary and the other reviews . I just add my opinion to this.

This is a simple love story or so it was written but it seems to a story about 5 girls who had a crush on one guy. He is the hot shot in the school. They are all 15 years olds. This is a simple story. Nothing much.

Since I am an anime/manga buff, I can clearly see the striking similarity. It's like I am actually watching an anime. And there is nothing to it. There isn't anything special about this movie. In Anime, there is a special genre called Harem, where many girls will be after a single guy. The guy is usually super cool and cute. This movie seems to be a remake of an anime.

I am a great fan of Akira Kurasova and Toshiro Mifune. After seeing those movies, their story, their technique, their action, this movie doesn't even entertain me a little except for the cute girls. Nothing special in their action or dialog or scene. Nothing special.

I am actually disappointed. It's just another harem. I watched even then because I just want to confirm myself of the Japanese nature when they are young. And whether the theme's in their anime stem from that nature. I think I just got the confirmation.

Way Of Blue Sky

Just saw the movie and it was great.

I agree with the last comments that if you'd ignore the simple plot outline it's really a great movie to appreciate and to enjoy.

It's sentimental, loving, indulgent and touching. A movie that can really get you thinking.

The plot is simple. A popular high school guy in Japan announces he is leaving for the United States of America and spends a last summer there with his friends and a chance at a last romance.

While watching the movie you actually get so deep into it, it becomes hard to pull away from it. It engages its audiences with great surroundings, steady acting and expresses the feelings in the movie effectively.

One of my all time favourite Japanese titles.
