This incarnation of Benny Hill's long-running series of specials, aired during the middle of his 1955-68 BBC run, was produced under the terms of a contract with impresario Bernard Delfont as a pre-condition for Delfont's letting Hill out of the West End revue "Paris By Night" in which he starred from 1955 to 1956.
