The Punisher

Edit
The first level of the game which The Punisher and Nick Fury battle gangsters in an illegal casino is a nod to The Punisher (1989), which 35 minutes into that film, The Punisher (Dolph Lundgren) demolishes a Yakuza illegal casino.
The first video game based on the Marvel comic book "The Punisher". The video game of The Punisher (2004), which was a spin-off of the 2004 film starring Thomas Jane as Frank Castle/The Punisher, which Jane provided the voice in the video game was released by THQ, 12 years later.
Released 4 years after The Punisher (1989).
In the Marvel comic books, The Punisher and Nick Fury were both soldiers. The Punisher was a former US Marine captain whom fought in the Vietnam War and Nick Fury served in the US army to fight the Nazis in World War II, which he had the rank of Sargeant.
In Blind Fury (1989), Rutger Hauer and Terry O'Quinn's characters, whom happen to be Vietnam veterans happen to be called Nick and Frank. In that film, Nick Parker is blinded by a mortar explosion and Frank Devereaux's ex wife Lynn is murdered by illegal casino owner and crime boss MacCready. Nick Fury is a World War II veteran whom lost his left eye in the line of duty and Frank Castle, a Vietnam veteran's wife and children were murdered by the Mafia.
