Pawel Berger, Benedykt Otreba, Adam Otreba, Jerzy Styczynski and Zbigniew Szczerbinski, playing in the movie, were real members of the band Dzem (both English pronunciation and meaning: 'jam'). Maciej Balcar, playing Indianer, was a new vocalist of Dzem, replacing Rysiek Riedel.
Polish title "Skazany na bluesa" is a title of a song by Dzem, literally: "Sentenced for a blues". It is an epitaph for an unnamed bluesman, later acknowledged to be a prophetic song about Rysiek Riedel himself.
