The film was originally titled "De De Pyar De".
In the masquerade party sequence, Tom disguises himself as a priest from Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Dick disguises himself as Radhe Mohan from In Your Name (2003) and Harry disguises himself as the titular character in Mangal Pandey (2005).
The film was going to be made by Jackie Shroff productions as " Raju Raja Ram". Starring Jackie Shroff, Salman Khan , Govinda, Manisha Koirala. The film got shelved and was eventually made by Deepak Tijori with a new star cast, 9 years later.

Sudesh was going to produce a film by the name. When Deepak Tijori requested the title, Sudesh gave him the title as a kind gesture.
