Irene tells Jean that she saw Jacques yesterday, when in fact she saw him that very night.
When sitting on the balcony, Jacques calls Irene Emilia instead of Irene (though it might be because he actually cannot remember her name).
Francois, the nervous grand son of one of Irene's previous acquaintances, says about Jean hiding behind the cars "he was with you at the bar". Jean was speaking with Irene at the terrace when Francois arrived.
Irene says, in French, " Venice" as in Venice, California, instead of "Venise" (pronounced Vuh-Neez) for Venice, Italy.
