Jeff Daniels, Cheryl Hines, Patrick Warburton, Zack Shada, and Andy Samberg in Space Chimps (2008)

Trivia

Space Chimps

Edit
Ham was the name of the first chimp in space. He was launched from Cape Canaveral on January 31, 1961, and returned to Earth unharmed except for a bruised nose.
Comet's laptop computer has a banana logo on the top, an obvious parody of Apple computers.
This is the only Space Chimps film to be released theatrically and be rated G by the MPAA. All others were straight-to-dvd and rated PG by the MPAA.
Andy Samberg's first time voice acting in a theatrical film. Later, he'd go onto voice Brent McHale in the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs films, Jonathan in the Hotel Transylvania films, Junior the stork in Storks (2016), Dale the Chipmunk in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022), and Ben Reilly in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023).
The teaser ad premiered June 20, 2008, during a Fox broadcast of Planet of the Apes (2001).
