The original version was shot in English and was intended to be a Hollywood release . The film lay completed and unreleased due to problems with the producer's. Distributors refused to buy the film due to undisclosed reasons. Finally the producers dubbed the film in Hindi and released it for the Indian audience.

Sushmita told the producers she would not promote the film publicly if Randeep Hooda was also going to be there. Hooda stated he had no problem working with Sushmita after their break up.
