A young girls struggle with a very cruel disease

1 litre of tears is a very touching story about a young girls struggle with a very cruel disease. A disease which takes away all the things she loves, one by one.

As Aya-chan struggles, all people around her are struggling with her. Share the pain, sadness, but also love and joy with aya's family.

This dorama show is something great, it has a huge impact on every living soul, also and more important it is the legacy and dream of a young girl. With not only the book 1 litre of tears , bases on aya's diaries, but also this dorama show, aya's dream is fulfilled and will continue to live on.

domo arigatou aya-chan, for you will not be forgotten.

one tip for people who are going to watch this show: please have tissues next to you this show is 100% tears guaranteed

      Incredible !!!

      Incredible!!

The TV series version is great (no idea about the Movie), the pace of story in series is perfect, and the performance of actors and actresses are superb. Above all the story is the simply amazing.

This story certainly changes our view of life, and makes us realize that 'u don't know what u have till its gone'. It inspires us to enjoy our life and become a useful person.

      Indeed a gr8 movie !!!

Talking about Erika, (oh my god!) she has the best smile of the world. She makes us smile when she smiles, and makes us cry when she cries.

This movie changes the perspective and thinking towards one's life and also things we take for granted .

This is my first ever review about any shows . Well i watched the orignal old tv series not thiis movie but , Looking back at this series I can say this is an life changing and unforgettable (sad/bittersweet) I will never forget throughout my entire life . This series makes us rethink about things we takes for granted , make us realize those things we already had , some doesn't . Whenever you ever feel down in life and crossed your enduring limit and having thought about taking that step rethink about what valuable things you gonna lose , i guarantee this series will make changes in you , good changes .

      the love beyond death

This movie is most faithful to the book and the real story of Aya than the TV show with the same name. This film is beautiful, sad and at the same time full of hope, the girl never gave up even knowing that her disease was impossible to cure.Is also the story about a mother who does everything she is capable of to look after her daughter..the story tell us how painful love can be. the performances of the movie are brilliant, and the message is clear, don't give up, life is precious. it make us think how much we complain about unimportant things, when we must feel blessed by the gift of be alive.I saw that film before the show and i must admit that I love both

      Strongly Recommended!

i agree with the previous comment. i have not seen anything so sad for a long time. i'm not a guy who is really into Japanese drama/movie. but this show really changed my mind. i have to take back my words for my serious doubt about the acting. the movie carries a heart-warming message about appreciating every moments of our lives. Aya's only wish was "to live." By carefully depicting Aya's earnest desire to live, and the love of her family, friends, and lover. The drama, wishes to deliver her simple but strong message: "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing."

everyone, especially Erika Sawajiri and her family's acting was superb. i have to admit i cried a lot of times during the show. absolutely a touching Japanese drama series that should not be missed by anyone.

      go watch it!
