The song Aadat was originally a Pakistani song which was also recreated by Pritam in Chocolate as Zahreeli Raatein ironically starring Emraan Hashmi, it was removed from the film to avoid copyright issues while Bhatts took the rights and used it in this film.
Ashutosh Rana felt the original film title Blue Film wasn't going well with his image and asked him to change the film title.
Kunal Khemu's character is shown of Kashmiri Pandit whose family had left Kashmir in 80s due to riots.In reality he belongs to Kashmiri Pandits and his family had to leave everything behind when Kashmiri Pandits were targeted in the region.
