Two naive struggling Los Angeles actors spend a day looking for jobs after their landlord threatens eviction if their rent isn't payed by evening.
This "comedy" isn't just unfunny, it's boring. The two leads bumble through a succession of awkwardly-edited scenes, some of which the director continues to cut back to even after the main characters have left. What plot that does exist is just a framework upon which to hang more scenes of the two leads bantering back and forth.
The acting isn't too bad, with decent enough performances by Godfrey, James Leary, director Dale Stelly, and Mercedes Scelba-Shorte. But this movie goes nowhere slowly and you will regret renting it. Avoid... unless you're a family member of someone involved with this turkey.
(I did laugh one time - and only one time - at one of Dex's lines in the unemployment office.)

If you are looking to kill yourself with boredom then this movies for you! Thought I might laugh at least once... guess I was wrong... the filming and acting were bearable, but the script was lacking. If you have time to waste then feel free to try watching this movie... I took at gander at this just for the hell of it & pretty much expected "crap personified".
However, I actually enjoyed this flick (albeit a bit slow and painful in the early sequences).
Maybe I expected so little that I was mesmerized by the actual effort, but I'm glad I gave it a tumble. There are a few good laughs that begin to occur halfway through the movie, and the acting by the main players was more than decent.
The "ebonics lesson" was very entertaining and the "homeless guy on the street" was hysterical, however I do believe that the editing of the shots and sequences left a wee bit to be desired.
