"Skeleton in the Closet" is an episode of the rebooted 1980s verison of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". About half the episodes were remakes but "Skeleton in the Closet" is an original. Unfortunately, it's not particularly good.
Tom King is a very happy man. He's just been made the president of his local country club and he's married to Betty. But beneath this lovely veneer, there is trouble brewing in the form of a blackmailer who will expose Betty's secret unless she pays. And, when the blackmailer is murdered, the show gets pretty weird...and dumb.
The writing of the show betrays a lack of research. Lizzie Borden is a big part of the show and they call her a serial killer AND talk about her offspring. Well, she was never convicted of murder, if she DID do it, it was a multiple murder of two people at the same time...not a serial killing AND she never had any children. It also is pretty silly in the second half of the show.
