    Another Dog

Gage is visited by a former accident victim he helped.

A good episode, a sequel to the very first show of the first season. It begins with Gage and Desoto finding a catatonic mechanic in a garage. He is brought into the hospital and Brackett and Early cannot figure out what is wrong. The former accident victim, Paula Slayton has returned to fulfill a promise she made to Gage. She brings him a new puppy. There is a slapstick scene when Boot chases the pup around the firehouse. A lonely woman constantly calls the paramedics because she wants company. She is played by Reva Rose who had been in the recently cancelled series Temperature's Rising The best and most dramatic moment is when the mechanic's shady friend gives him an injection, causing the man to crash through a window. The final scene ends in a joke wrapping up the lonely woman and the new dog story.

Kelly Brackett, M.D., F.A.C.S.: [after rescuing a man who had jumped out a window at Rampart] Hey, nice going, fellas. You did a great job up there.

Firefighter Roy DeSoto: Thank you, Doc.

Firefighter John Gage: Thank you. Listen, you didn't do half-bad yourself. Now listen, if you want to join the Paramedic Program, I can put in a good word for you.

      Kelly Brackett, M.D., F.A.C.S.: Thanks a bunch!
