    Really?

Pretty good two parter, although with a theme that has been done before. Lost of "HUH?" moments, though.

Hard to imagine that a small town police chief from Mississippi would be given access to police records in Philadelphia - especially Internal Affairs records.

Could Virgil and the Chief really have made it back to Sparta before the twins were born, since Althea was already in labor before they left?

The Philly police chief was wearing THE ABSOLUTE WORST hair piece in TV history! Surely he didn't think it was fooling anyone. I almost wanted him to be the bad guy just because he looked so ridiculous!

    A distress call from Philadelphia

With AnneMarie Johnson getting very pregnant with twins Howard Rollins gets a call from Philadelphia from his old partner J.D. Hall who is feeling some departmental pressure over an investigation he's pursuing..

No sooner does Virgil Tibbs return to Philly than he finds out that Hall is a victim of suicide and he doesn't believe it. With the help of his father-in-law Mel Stewart he starts his own investigation. Soon enough Rollins is in his own jackpot with his former employers the Philadelphia PD.

Think Magnum Force on this one.
