    Dated and Weird

The brilliant university student Lauren suicides, burning out during a storm of hailstone in Washington. Frank Black is summoned to investigate the weird death and soon Peter Watts and Cheryl Andrews join the case. The stranger Dennis Hoffman meets Frank and tells him that he believes the suicidal is connected to planetary alignment that will happen on 05 May 2000 that will cause the doomsday. When a second young woman, Carlin, commits suicide at a waterfall, Cheryl realizes that she is an identical twin born seven years apart from Lauren and living with different family. Their further investigation with Hoffman leads the Millennium Group to Pocatello, Idaho, where they find a group of cloned women created by a man in an iron lung to repopulate Earth after the ends of the civilization. But soon Hoffman and the girls disappear.

"Force Majeure" is a dated and weird episode of "Millennium", with a different storyline from the previous episodes. Maybe in 1997, in the released date, the episode could have been intriguing, but watching for the first time in 2024, the plot is completely dated and silly. "Force Majeure" is, so far, the worst episode of this series, despite the good cast. My vote is four.

Peter points to a picture of phone calls and one ball indicating one person, had received twenty calls. Frank says twenty is what Cheryl said. Cheryl did not say that.
