Not my personal favourite from Series One, but it's still a classy episode

I can't agree with those saying that this is the best of S1, because there are so many good episodes from this year, and I preferred others.

It is though a very good episode, with lots of good moments, and marks the proper introduction of Krusty and Sideshow Bob, voiced brilliantly for the first time by Kelsey Grammer.

    The gruesome twosome

Krusty is arrested for robbing the local convenience store.

This is a memorable episode that introduces several great characters.

The plot is strong and littered with good humour. It unfolds as a tidy little mystery, with a well thought out resolution and opens the door for more material involving these characters.

Krusty and Sideshow Bob have always been two of my favourite concepts from The Simpsons and this introduces them very well. Bart and Lisa also have some memorable moments, along with Apu and Marge's sisters.

It's an 8.5/10 for me but I round upwards.

The Classic Simpsons episode about the Hero was framed by the Villain Story in the year 1990

34 years before Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl (2024) and 2 years before Noddy's Toyland Adventures in Noddy and His Bell (1992), There's a classic Simpsons episode about the heroic character was framed by the villain known as Krusty Gets Busted (1990). In this episode's story is about Krusty The Clown was framed for armed robbery at the Kwik-E-Mart, Because Krusty The Clown maybe wearing the big red clown shoes, but his feet are small. Only Bart and his intelligent sister Lisa believed Krusty is innocent, and they are exposing Sideshow Bob as the real criminal mastermind, as well as his ginormous feet compared to Krusty The Clown's actual foot size. Also it's the beginning of Sideshow Bob's villainy. I'm giving this framing story a 10/10.

Best episode after the bowling marge episode

The introduction to Krusty the clown character is a killer episode, a 9.5/10. Second best from an Amazing season 1, My ranking for Season 1 Number 1 : " Life on the fast lane " 10/10 2 : Krusty gets busted and The Pilot 4 : Bart the genius 5: The crepes of wrath Season 1 of the Simpsons is an outstanding piece of TV, maybe the best Season ever of the Simpsons.

    Great Lessons for Children

Krusty the Clown has appeared peripherally in other episodes, but here is the focus. We also meet Sideshow Bob. Krusty has this television show which is every parent's nightmare. He is crude and manipulative and universally admired by little kids. But one day, while Homer is buying ice cream, Krusty robs a convenience store. He is arrested, but there is more to the story. Lots of really great lines in this one. Krusty is an awesome character.

    • Trivia
The original teleplay, written by Jay Kogen and Wallace Wolodarsky, was 78 pages long and many scenes had to be cut. One scene that had to be cut down was the scene where Patty and Selma show the slideshow of their vacation; it originally contained images of them being detained for bringing heroin into America.
    • Goofs
Homer's description of Krusty to the police sketch artist isn't even right, even saying he has red hair, yet the artist comes up with a completely accurate image of Krusty.
