One of the best episodes of the series!

The Simpsons really has gotten a lot of harsh criticism of many fans starting around season 8, and really kicking in around season 11. For some reason, some people believe that because at one time they liked the episodes better, that there has not been one good episode since 1997, and boy are they wrong, and this is a prime example.

Moe goes down to see the opening of a large flower, but unfortunately he puts the capacity at one too many, so he's kicked out. This leads him to try and commit suicide, but before he can, due to a freak occurrence, he ends up saving Maggie Simpson's life when catching her under a bridge. He begins to babysit her, but after becoming too clingy, he's banned from seeing her. It's up to him to help find her when she goes missing...chaos ensues.

This episode is both funny and sweet. Moe is more likable here than he normally is, yet he also retains his extremely rude and mean traits. The whole episode is very funny, without any lame clichéd jokes. The bonding between Maggie and Moe is sweet, and makes this a memorable episode and plot. The episode also features one of Fat Tony's greatest appearances, and ends with a Queen song...how could you go wrong.

Overall, this is one of my very favorite Simpsons episodes. It's really a season 14 classic, and a reason why this show still remains popular after so many years.

My rating: **** out of ****. 30 mins.

    A Great Ending for S14

Truly a heartwarming ending for S14. The relationship between Maggie and Moe is so unique and clever. For a character that hates his own well-being, Moe represents a large number of adults that struggle to cope with their own self-hatred towards themselves. Maggie becomes important in the plot and she helps Moe rediscover a reason to live. Truly a beautiful ending to S14.

    Great from start to finish

They saved the best of S14 until last.

I thought this was great - really funny, and also heartfelt.

Moe is one of my favourite secondary characters, and this episode highlighted him perfectly.

The Simpsons at it's best remains unbeatable.
