I shall say that this series has two key elements to be so successful, firstly the those unusual characters from overseas, this turn the Grand Emir of Ottoman empire in a diplomatic visit in America for what? Oh be delighted by gorgeous American dancers, let's forget this minor fail on the screenplay, the main subject is fact is an Assassin's Club that for all means want a small part of the desert between the Indian ocean and the Mediterranean sea to build a channel there, not so fast writers this small piece of land wasn't a desert anymore due the W. W. W. Took place when President Ulysses Grant was in the chair and Suez Channel already had made at its time (sorry writers for allowed us fake events).
Jim and Art have a charge to protect the powerful Emir of a possible murder or kidnaping by underground society hosted in American territory by this advance proposition, aside all fails in the weird screenplay, came up the gorgeous Ecstasy La Joie (Yvonne Craig) a regular guest special star on several shows in the sixties, brightening the episode with her undeniable sex-appeal, among traps putting Jim upside down tie-up in a straightjacket also in a poisoned cage aftermaths, all us previously known what's gonna happen on the final act.
A great casting in this episode as Richard Jaeckel, Don Francks and Robert Middleton were not match to eye-candy Yvonne Craig performance in many dancing sequences, she overshadowed all them and also Artemus with smallest appearance.
Thanks for reading.

The talented Yvonne Craig, best known as "Batgirl" from the 1960's hit TV show Batman, dominates this story. As character "Ecstasy La Joie", she dances the Can-Can, she does an Egyptian belly dance, she does a flashy Mexican dance. The Grand Emir is drooling over her performances, but of course it is James West whom she romances.
The Assassin's Club is a lively group ruled by actor Don Francks, who is excellent in his role. We also have a great performance by Richard Jaeckel, who played MP Sergeant Bowren in the Dirty Dozen.
One of the better episodes of Wild Wild West, and you certainly get an eyeful of Ms. Craig's delightful dancing.

Yvonne Craig (Batgirl) plays an unlikely and not very effective assassin, though a member of a society of assassins including Richard Jaekel and James Lamphir. They're trying to kill an emir of the Ottoman Empire, which ruled the middle east and Anatolia with a heavy hand for nearly half a millennium until it tottered to its end in World War One.
There's a tambourine reminiscent of Oddjob's hat and an explosive garter. West, that one-man army, finds himself pursued by the entire membership as part of a game. And that's only at the half-way mark.
Craig was never a great actress but she fit the WWW requirements: pretty and short. And she shows off some dancing skills. One of the emur's female attendants is Phyllis Davis. This episode doesn't have much more to it.
I prefer "The Assassination Bureau" with Oliver Reed and Diana Rigg.
