    The Road to Wicksville

In this episode Doug McClure is one of several people receiving letters with other names on it threatening his demise. With each letter there's another death.

So Trampas takes a furlough from Shiloh and goes in search of the threat maker. The only thing he finds when he meets others on the list is that they all were in the town of Wicksville at roughly the same time.

A few familiar faces like Darren McGavin, Linden Chiles, and Robert Strauss are in the cast. The episode plays like a not quite so good Agatha Christie mystery out west. And the potential killer has some exotic reasons for wanting these people dead.

    Trampas haters need not apply!

John Rubinstein was so young! Never saw this episode. That's unusual ... and FUN! Well it's only mho but i thought it was great! Awesome acting, exciting story, decent ending. Worked for me!

    • Trivia
This may have been John Rubenstein's first performance. Although it aired six days after his official debut in a "Dragnet" episode, "The Virginian"'s lengthier production schedule makes it probable that this role was shot first.
