Dimension released two versions of Wizard of Gore under the Dimension Extreme label. Both versions are largely different, though no one really knows why. Both versions show some prolonged scenes at several moments of the movie which are missing in the other version. As often, alternative material is used. The plot is extended at some points in both versions, but only very few times. Altogether nearly 200 differences can be found between both versions.
