Feature-length version of a short made in 2000, which was based on popular characters Hank and Mike from the TV comedy series YB Normal (1998).
Aniela Kurylo's debut.
Director Matthew Klinck said the point of this movie was to make an R-rated comedy. He and stars Thomas Michael and Paola Mancini are huge fans of films like Bad Santa (2003) where you take a concept like Santa Claus or some nice family holiday and you twist it until it's full of drugs, sex, naked women and all the things that make up a debauched life.
During an interview, director Matthew Klinck said they wanted nudity because it's an essential part of R-rated comedies, saying, "If you're going to have an R-rating anyway, why hold back with the nudity? Isn't the nudity part of the fun of watching a film?" When they auditioned actresses for the nude scenes, he said they wanted them to look real, yet still voluptuous. Not some "modern, skinny little girl." He said they knew Talia Russo was perfect when she auditioned for the role of Joe Mantegna's painter character's model. She was beautiful and when they asked if she'd have any problem being totally nude, she just stripped naked right then and there. They auditioned a lot of people for the role of Estress, but when Aniela Kurylo came in, they knew that she was it because she had a lot of fun with it.
