No CGI was used in this film for any of the effects.
Robert Englund agreed to take the part of Professor Crowley after watching one of Brookstreet Pictures' short films, Still Life (2005).
The "Prof Monster" that appears at the end of the film, took between six and eight people to operate at one time.
The movie was shot entirely in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, so for the jungle scenes that appear at the beginning and end of the movie, palm trees were brought in to make the location look tropical.
Co-Writer Trevor Matthews and co-Writer and Director Jon Knautz thought of the idea for this movie while making up horror stories at Trevor's cottage in the Thousand Islands near Kingston, Ontario.
