The film was dubbed in several languages in Telugu-language as Mary Matha, released on 25 December 1971. Dubbed into Malayalam-language as Velankanni Mathavu, released on 27 May 1977 and in 1979 Hindi-language as Mata Velankanni.
Kamal Hassan was assistant director in the film and did cameo as Jesus Christ.
