Shane Jacobson in Kenny (2006)

Trivia

Kenny

Edit
The world premiere of Kenny was in the town of Poowong, Southern Victoria, Australia.
The actors Ronald Jacobson, Shane Jacobson, Clayton Jacobson and Jesse Jacobson are all related in real life and are respectively father, son, son, and grandson.
Kenny (2006) is quite unusual in that almost all of the events, companies and products referenced in the film are actually real. Kenny's company Splashdown is a preexisting business that inspired creation of the film, and cooperated in its production. In scenes involving a boxing club, not only is the club real, but so too is the sponsor on the boxers' shirts and the background signage. Likewise, the airshow and race meet are actual events, and the track does really have its own chapel. The Pumper and Cleaner Environmental Expo International exists just as shown, and the magazines, companies, and products shown at the show weren't creations for the film. Even the locations and the distances between them are, for the most part, as represented.
During the only scene in which Kenny's ex-wife appears on camera (when dropping off their son), her image is pixellated. At the St. Kilda festival event a woman complains that she has dropped her ring and needs assistance in its recovery. Both roles are in fact played by Vicki Musso.
Vicki Musso, who played Kenny's estranged wife and the woman who loses her ring, is the real-life wife of director Clayton Jacobson.
