The Lamb of God (1992)

Trivia

The Lamb of God

Edit
Unlike most depictions of the Crucifixion, this one shows nails being driven through both the palms AND the wrists of Jesus.
Michael Flynn (Pontius Pilate) would later be the host of the syndicated series "Ancient Secrets of the Bible" shown on CBS. Darren McGavin served as the original host but when the series was shown in syndication and on TBN in the 2000's Michael Flynn is the host.
Only five characters in the film speak English and they speak in the old King's English as described in the King James Bible. The other cast members are speaking Arabic and Latin.
In the mid-late 1990's the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made a commercial of this film shown on television giving it away free with a free Book of Mormon.
The LDS originally intended on making a full length film on the Life of Christ but only completed "Lamb of God" and "Luke 2". It wasn't until 2003 they made a full length film on the Life of Christ called "The Testaments" and the film was heavily criticized for having an unrealistic crucifixion scene as Jews from the crowd nailed Jesus to the cross instead of Roman Soldiers.
