Film would was to reunite the trio of Sachin,Ashok Saraf and Laxmikanth Berde after 14 years in Marathi cinema since Aaytya Gharat Gharoba 1991.But due to health issues Laxmikanth Berde's opted out of the film he passed away on December 16 2004 four months before the release of the film.
The films climax was shot in the famous temple of Ganpatipule.
The film reunited Sachin and Ashok Saraf pair back to Marathi cinema after nine years.Last time they worked was in Hindi film Aisi Bhi Kya Jaldi Hai 1996.
The film is inspired from the classic Bombay to Goa 1972.
Sonu Nigam plays a character similar to Kishore Kumar in Bombay to Goa.
