This pilot was originally to be produced in 2005 for Comedy Central by Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan. But Chappelle abruptly left Chappelle's Show (2003) to take a sabbatical and no longer wanted to work with Comedy Central or Brennan so production was delayed.
In 2007, BET announced that the pilot had been picked up and the series would air on October of that year. But the series never aired for unknown reasons.
