'Clubbed' is based on Geoff Thompson's book "Watch My Back", the film's lead character Danny is seen writing this book at the end of the film. Another Geoff Thompson book, "Fear - The Friend of Exceptional People", can also be seen in the film being read by the same character Danny, who is played by Mel Raido.
