Deutschland. Ein Sommermärchen (2006)

Trivia

Deutschland. Ein Sommermärchen

Edit
As director Sönke Wortmann was allowed to film Germany's national side "backstage", he almost became a team member. Coach Jürgen Klinsmann asked him to produce short films to motivate the team before every match during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
With over 3 million cinema viewers, this movie is the most successful documentary in German cinemas.
Some scenes were filmed by Lukas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger, called "Poldicam" and "Schweinicam". There were also some "Klinsicam" scenes by Jürgen Klinsmann, but they were not used in the film.
This movie was shown on German television only 8 weeks after its release in cinemas.
Sönke Wortmann had to cut over 100 hours of film for the movie's final version.
