Cerberus' character design in Chapters 2, 3, and 4 is directly based on Steele from Balto (1995). In Chapter 4, he loses his face, and in Chapter 5, he gets a new face (literally), and no longer looks like Steele.
In the beginning of Chapter 4, when the robot is looking at Cerberus on the hill, the image of Cerberus is a shot of Steele from the alley scene in Balto (1995).
