Meteor Garden (2001)

Trivia

Meteor Garden

Edit
The series was based on the Japanese shoujo manga "Hana Yori Dango" (Boys Before Flowers) by Yôko Kamio.
Meteor Garden (2000) became a cultural phenomenon in the Philippines, serving as a gateway for Filipinos to embrace Asian dramas and boy bands. At a time when local audiences were primarily drawn to American series and Mexican telenovelas, the show's success reshaped entertainment preferences and ignited the Asian drama craze in the country.
Barbie Hsu who played Shan Cai in the 2001 version of Meteor Garden is the older sister of Dee Hsu who played Dao Ming Zhuang in the 2018 remake of Meteor Garden.
Kris Aquino, daughter of the late former Philippine President Corazon Aquino was the one who interviewed F4, Barbie Hsu, and Barbie's sister during their visit to the Philippines for a concert produced by ABS-CBN. The interviews are now available for streaming on YouTube.
During its peak, many boys in the Philippines adopted hairstyles similar to those of F4.
