This short was recently posted on IMDb for watching in the United States. I assume this will in time be expanded to other countries as well.
FOR THE LOVE OF THE FAMILY is not an especially polished film and it is very, very crude. However, despite all this, I did find myself laughing many times at the juvenile humor and so I recommend you see this film WITHOUT your kids!
The film begins with a teenager awakening to the sound of his parents arguing. The next day, he talks to his dad (who, by the way, looks almost the same age as the teen) and is told that his parents are having marital problems. Putting 1 and 1 together (and getting 274!), he assumes the problems stem from his mother needing breast augmentation surgery so he spends most of the rest of the film doing crazy and horrible things to try to earn the money. I particularly liked when he took a neighbor with him trying to earn money by claiming the kid had a disease or went to the guy running for office to get money to "cure him from being gay" (this was a rather low attack on Republicans, but it was cute regardless). There were many more similar jokes and even though they were pretty low-brow, I laughed every time. What's even funnier is what REALLY is wrong with his parents' marriage and the steps he then takes to solve this problem!
Silly and stupid...sometimes we really need something like that.
