Edit
The actress Lydia Lamaison, who plays The Grandmother en several flashbacks of the film, plays The Mother in Circe (1964), also based on a short story by Julio Cortázar.
The plot adapts the short story "The health of the sick" by Argentinean writer Julio Cortázar, but the screenwriter Diego Sabanés also introduces references to other stories from the same author, like "Aunt with difficulties", "Letters from Mom" or "House taken over".
The script was developed with the support of Hubert Bals Fund (Rotterdam Film Festival), Casa de América (Spain) and Sources 2 (Germany). The film was produced with the support of San Luis Cine (Argentina) and INCAA (Argentina).
Before its release, the film was presented in Mar del Plata International Film Festiva (out os competition), San Luis International Film Festival and Huelva Iberoamerican Film Festival. The weeks after its Argentinean release the film was presented in other festivals like Latin Beat (New York, USA), Mannheim-Heilderberg (Germany), Mumbai (India) and Titanic (Budapest), between many others.
