Sofia for Now

I saw this great movie at the Roxbury Film Festival in Boston, Massachusets. I am aware that it was shown at a later time at the Latino International Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.

I was told that the movie was made by students about to graduate from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University. The film was done with a very low budget but honestly, you cannot tell at all. The editing by Jonathan Martofel is excellent and the actors did a great job, especially Claudia Duran, who also did the directing.

I strongly recommend this film to anyone who loves a good laugh and/o cry and you will especially appreciate it if you are Latin American.
