Very Early Feature Doesn't Get Everything Right

Newly married Gerda Krum-Juncker is miffed because husband Doctor Valdemar Psilander is always late for an evening out or rushing from a garden party because some foolish patient is dying and thinks he needs Psilander's attention more than she. So when he abandons her at a garden party, she makes a pass at his friend, Lieutenant Henry Seemann. He has the effrontery the turn her down, so she tells Psilander Seemann made a pass at her.

There are about eight minutes missing from this early feature directed by August Blom. While the film makers have the basics of feature making down -- basically, enough subplots that work with each other for an overall effect -- they haven't got it right enough to make of Miss Krum-Juncker more than a very silly and stupid woman. There also seem to be more lengthy shots of people strolling about than called for in order to bring this up to an original 45 minutes. Still, the Scandinavians would get it right very soon.
