Dolan's Cadillac (2009)

Trivia

Dolan's Cadillac

Edit
The description of Dolan as having a thousand names, being able to look at you a certain way so that your prostate goes bad, and killing the grass where he spits, is actually taken nearly word-for-word from the description of Randall Flagg, The Walkin' Dude from Stephen King's novel 'The Stand'.
Sylvester Stallone was originally slated to play the role of Jimmy Dolan. He was later replaced with Christian Slater. Kevin Bacon was originally going to be Robinson and Stacy Title was going to direct. Bacon was also offered the lead in another movie based on a Stephen King novel with Christine, a story also centered around a car.
Several articles of graffiti are seen in the rest area near the highway; 'Don't look up here, you're pissing on your shoes' above the urinals, 'My mother made me a whore' on the wall, and 'All that you love will be carried away' in the broken map case. These are taken from another short story by Stephen King called "All you love will be carried away", found in the collection 'Everything's Eventual'.
In Vegas Dolan stays at The Montressor Hotel. This is a tip to the story that inspired Stephen King to write 'Dolan's Cadillace' - Poe's 'The Cask of Amontillado'. "For the love of God, Montressor!" is a famous line from this tale.
