Edit
The main characters of the film, Vassilis (Alexander Voulgaris) and Snezana (Romana Lobach), have the surnames of two legendary European basketball players of the '80s, Nikos Galis (Greece) and Vladimir Tkachenko (USSR). The players are the ones seen when the vintage video of the basketball game in the opening scene freezes.
The basketball game shown at the beginning of the film is the 1987 European Championship Final, held in Athens (Greece vs USSR 103-101). However, the sound and image have been edited. The speaker announces that the score (after Galis' "successful" shot) is 98-101 but the video is from earlier in the game (when the score was 57-58). In fact, Galis' shot shown in the film did not end up in the basket. It provides, though, a frame where Galis tries to overcome Tkachenko (Galis and Tkachenko are the surnames of the main characters of the film, Vassilis and Snezana)
