A new path through north face of the Matterhorn, the dream of Sébastien Gay. Sébastien's way is plotted from the top. The project seduces Jean Troillet and they decide to try to climb it. Stopped by falling rocks they must give up and postpone this project for a long time. Meanwhile Sébastien Gay dies in a tragic mountain accident. To pay tribute to him, Jean Troillet decides to finish this path. Two other guides accompany him: Martial Dumas and Jean-Yves Fredriksen, they will open « Sébastien Gay path ».
