    A perfect ending

The best ending of a show ever. Not too corny. So many Easter eggs. Sentimental yet funny. Absolutely incredible from start to finish.

    It's a Wrap

Hard to say goodbye. Things are set up for the wedding. Could have been a bit more complexity, but what the heck. Of course, it is going to rain. The whole thing is all the eggs in one basket. But there is true affection and love and how can one watch this whole show and not be brought to tears? This was a phenomenon that will never be duplicated.

    Didn't want to end

This entire show grew on me. At first, i felt like it was outta place. But I kept watching till I finished the first season and I quite liked it. But it gets better and better every new season. I get closed to the characters and felt like they were my actual neighbors or acquaintances. But I found out it's already over before I finished the whole. Now, I finished the final season and feel like it doesn't really need to be over yet.

    Sweet touching ending...

A Sweet touching ending for a wonderful show. As I've always told everybody give it a few episodes and you will be hooked. The characters were people you wish you knew. The love was always the heart of the show. The humour was never in the jokes but the delivery. The clothes. Need I say more. Loved this little show so much. And it starred an Icon, Eugene Levy, a man born and raised in my hometown of Hamilton Ontario Canada . Nothing better has ever come out of Canadian TV. Thank you Schitts Creek for a job well done

    Such a beautiful send-off

This felt as a part two of a goodbye finale with the previous episode. The show exited with a subtle grace, holding true to the admiration we have grown for this family.

In the final scene when Johnny and Moira are driving away the trunk appears to be loaded to the top but when the car is driving away you can see sunlight through the rear windshield showing there is nothing inside.
    • Quotes

Moira Rose: [Sniffeling] Good evening everybody! Welcome to the wedding of Patrick Brewer and David Rose! We are gathered here today to celebrate the love of two people whose lives were ostensively brought together by fateful butterfly wings. It's hard to understand why things happen the way that they do? Our lives are like little bebe crows carried upon a curious wind and all we can wish is for that wind place us on solid ground. And it has done this for our family in this small town in the middle of nowhere?

David Rose: [Whispering] Okay, I think we're good!

Moira Rose: And now I will ask David Rose and Patrick...

      David Rose: Brewer

Moira Rose: Brewer to exchange their vows!

Patrick Brewer: David, I can't believe this is happening. So, I'll keep this very short because I think you know that I would climb a thousand mountains for you. You will always be a part of me,

      [singing]

Patrick Brewer: and I'm a part of you indefinitely. Boy, don't you know you can't escape me, 'cause you know you'll always be my baby. and we'll linger on, time can't erase a feeling this strong, no way you'll ever shake me, ooh, darling 'cause you'll always be my baby!

      Moira Rose: David?

David Rose: Uh, yes. Patrick, I have never liked a smile as much as I like yours. I've never felt as safe as I feel when I'm with you. I've never known love like I do when we're together. It's not been an easy road for me but knowing that you will be there for me at the end makes everything okay. Patrick Brewer you are my happy ending.

Moira Rose: [David takes Patrick's ring out of his pocket and slips in on his finger] Patrick do you take David to be your lawfully wedded husband?

      Patrick Brewer: I do.

Moira Rose: [Patrick takes David's ring and slips it on his finger] David

      [shouting]

Moira Rose: do you take Patrick to be your lawfully wedded husband?

      David Rose: I do!

Moira Rose: I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss each other.

Johnny Rose: [as everybody is walking out of the town hall] You did such a great job, sweetheart. I don't know how you do it?

Moira Rose: There's a time and a place for sentimentality and your only son's wedding is hardly the time or the place.
