During a bath scene where Gangubai is talking to Afsaan the tailor, a deep scar running from her right shoulder to her waist that resulted from an injury to her by Shaukat the gangster, is gone.
Gangubai first visits cinema hall in Kamathipura to watch the movie Nirala (1950) with her friends. Later in the film she calls her mother after 12 years and in the same evening celebrates Navaratri. This means the year should be 1962-63. But during Navratri posters of films released in late 1960s (for example Love in Tokyo (1966), Patthar Ke Sanam (1967), and Haseena Maan Jayegi (1968)) can be seen on the walls of Kamathipura.
